The mahogany back and sides on this guitar are just stunning. It was salvaged from a huge, old tree nicknamed "Mahogany Mama" that was blown down in a hurricane. The top is torrified Sitka Spruce that was forest-salvaged in Southeast Alaska. The neck, fingerboard and bridge are all "luthier" salvaged from a major guitar manufacturer that rejected them for minor cosmetic flaws.
Speaking of flaws. . . or "beauty marks" as I like to call them, there are some worm holes in the back and sides. They are small and only represent a cosmetic issue. Rather than avoid them, I featured them because I think they're great. . . but do look closely at the photos just in case beauty marks are not your thing!
The body size is roughly the equivalent of a 000 size Martin so the tone is not a boomy dreadnought flavor. It's got lots of sparkling, shimmery high end with out being harsh.
